Christoph Huber über Eugène Green

Auf der neuen Internetpräsenz des vielfach geschätzten kanadischen Filmmagazins Cinema Scope finden sich nun auch Artikel aus der aktuellen Ausgabe (drauf gestoßen via MoC).
Darunter ein Text von Christoph Huber über Eugène Green, zu dessen drittem Film, Les pont des arts, er gleich zu Beginn sagt, was man nach vielem Lob von anderer Stelle schon erwartet hatte:

Eugène Green’s third feature film Les pont des arts was the saving grace of this year’s awkward Locarno line-up: a luminous, magisterial work about love, art and redemption, it unexpectedly rose like a shining angel from the sinful cesspool of half-baked humanism and mirthless melodrama that characterized the crippled 2004 competition.
